Emily is a Senior at SUNY Cortland majoring in Inclusive Special Education. She later plans to pursue Education Policy. Working with the Student Assembly, Emily strongly advocates for survivors of sexual assault and domestic violence, and brings mental health and education on these concerns to the forefront of the conversation. At her campus, Emily fights these issues as a student representative on SUNY Cortland’s Its On Us Action team and as a student leader for the One Love Foundation. Among other roles, Emily is a sister of Alpha Sigma Alpha. Prior to attending SUNY Cortland, Emily founded the Children of Substance Abusers Group at Patchogue Medford High School where she now works as an advisor to the teens who attend. She grew up in Medford, Suffolk County.
